Terms of Service — XVault

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the XVault browser extension ("XVault", "the Extension"), including the optional paid PRO license. By installing or using XVault you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Extension.

1. What XVault is

XVault is a client-side browser extension that helps you back up and export content from your own X (Twitter) account — bookmarks, posts, replies, media, likes, followers and following — to storage on your own device. XVault operates read-only on x.com: it never posts, likes, follows, messages, or performs any write action on your behalf. XVault is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by X Corp.

2. License grant

• Free plan. You may install and use the free features of XVault at no charge, for personal, non-commercial use.
• PRO license. Purchasing PRO grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, lifetime license to the PRO features (currently: incremental backups and faster media downloads), valid on up to three (3) devices you own. The PRO license is sold as a one-time payment of USD $19.99 (taxes, where applicable, are handled at checkout by our merchant of record).
• The license is granted to you as an individual. You may not resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute the license key or the Extension.

3. Purchases, delivery and refunds

• Payments are processed by our payment provider, Creem (as merchant of record), not by XVault directly. Card data never touches the Extension.
• Upon successful payment you receive a license key by email and on the checkout confirmation page. Enter the key in the Extension (Settings → License) to activate PRO.
• Refunds. Because XVault is digital software delivered instantly, we offer a 14-day money-back guarantee: if XVault does not work on your setup and our support cannot fix it within that period, email us for a full refund. Refund requests are handled by Creem under its refund policy; statutory consumer rights in your country (including EU withdrawal rights, where applicable) are unaffected.
• Chargebacks or license abuse (e.g. sharing one key beyond the device limit) may result in license deactivation.

4. Your responsibilities and acceptable use

• You may only back up content from X accounts you are signed in to and authorized to access. You are responsible for complying with X's Terms of Service and applicable law when using the Extension.
• You must not use XVault to harvest data of other users at scale, to build public databases of personal data, or for any unlawful purpose, including violating the privacy rights of third parties.
• You must not reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the Extension, except where such restriction is prohibited by law.
• You are responsible for the security of your license key and of the backups stored on your device.

5. Privacy

XVault is designed to keep your data on your device: backups are written to storage you control and are not uploaded to any XVault server. The Extension collects no analytics and no telemetry. Details are in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

6. Availability, changes and termination

• XVault is provided "as is". Features may change over time; we may release updates through the browser's extension update mechanism.
• We may suspend or terminate licenses that violate these Terms. You may stop using XVault at any time by uninstalling it; your local backups remain under your control.
• Changes to these Terms will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, XVault is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, or for actions taken by X Corp against accounts (including rate limits or suspensions) arising from use of the Extension. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the PRO license, if any. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply. For questions about these Terms, licenses or refunds, contact: zhuchunguang.hit007@gmail.com.
